We arrived at the resort late in the afternoon. The main lobby is grand, bright, and bustling with activity. The front desk staff greeted us warmly with cold drinks, which was a very welcome touch after our flight. The check-in process was relatively swift, and within 20 minutes, a helpful porter was guiding us toward our accommodation in the main building. Our room had a lovely pool view with a small balcony where we enjoyed having morning coffee. While the furniture and interior decor are somewhat classic rather than ultramodern, everything was impeccably clean and fully functional. The air conditioning was strong and quiet, which is absolute essential in the Egyptian weather. The king-size bed was surprisingly comfortable, and the housekeeping crew did an outstanding job every single day. They even surprised us with delightful towel sculptures swans and elephants crafted on our bed almost daily! Food at all-inclusive resorts can be a hit or miss, but Seagull’s main buffets exceeded our expectations. There was always a great variety of dishes to choose from. For breakfast, we loved the live omelet stations and fresh Egyptian baked breads. Lunch and dinner featured fresh salads, grilled meats, fish, pasta dishes, and an incredible selection of traditional pastries. We particularly enjoyed dinner at the resort's specialty restaurants, which added a nice change of pace. The resort territory is surprisingly spacious and well-maintained, filled with palm trees and vibrant flowers. Seagull features two distinct beach areas: one in a protected lagoon (perfect for swimming on windy days) and another facing the open sea. The water was crystalline and warm. We spent most of our afternoons lounging on the comfortable sunbeds, reading, and dipping into the clear water. The swimming pools were also immaculate and provided plenty of space without feeling overcrowded. While the resort itself is great, the highlight of our vacation was definitely the excursions we took! A huge tip for anyone staying here: do not buy tours from the hotel guides. Their prices are heavily inflated for the exact same experiences. Instead, we booked all our trips through a reputable local company called Sheriff Egypt. You can easily find them online simply by searching for their name on the internet. Their pricing is significantly cheaper than the hotel reps, and their service quality is top-tier. Through Sheriff Egypt, we booked two incredible trips: Cairo Mini-Group Tour: We did a small group excursion to Cairo with a maximum of eight people accompanied by an individual guide. Having such a small group made a world of difference! We avoided the huge tourist bus crowds, had plenty of comfortable legroom, and received personalized attention at the Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum. Our guide was extraordinarily knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all our questions without rushing us. Hula Hula Island Boat Trip: We also took a sea trip to Hula Hula Island. The yacht was brand new, extremely clean, and modern. The crew onboard were professional, warm, and attentive. The guides spoke fluent, excellent English, making safety instructions and snorkeling commentary super easy to understand. Swimming in the turquoise waters near the island felt like being inside a postcard! Final Verdict. Seagull Beach Resort offers great value for money right in the heart of Hurghada, close to local shops and the vibrant marina. Paired with excursions booked locally through Sheriff Egypt, my husband and I had an unforgettable week. We highly recommend this resort and the amazing mini-group tours to anyone planning a trip to Egypt!
